On June 8th, Upper Providence Township became the proud owner of the pristine Joyce Property on Lewis Road in the Royersford section of the Township. The property was identified for possible acquisition in the 2006 Open Space Plan and in the 2017 OpenSpace Plan. The property is adjacent to the Township-owned HessPreserve and creates a region of preserved land exceeding 100 acres in size. Structures on the Joyce Property include a house, pond, springhouse, carriage house and three miscellaneous outbuildings.Preservation of the Joyce Property by the Township’s Board of Supervisors helps to fulfill our ongoing efforts to preserve some of the few undeveloped tracts of land still remaining in the Township and supports the Township’s motto “rooted in history, growing in promise.”Pictures are worth a thousand words. Residents are encouraged to view the attached video flyover of this spectacular property.
