The Montgomery County Office of Public Health (MCOPH) has collected a mosquito sample that has tested positive for West Nile Virus in Upper Providence Township. MCOPH will continue to monitor and test mosquitoes in the area and will apply mosquito control strategies where necessary. Adult spraying is done as a last resort after exhausting all other mosquito control strategies.
